THE UNIVIERSITY OF BATH SQUAD FOR THE 2026 BUCS (Bristish University & College Sports) CHAMPIONSHIPS.

NEWS

10.10.26. The summer holidays are now a distant memory. We're all back, schools up and running - despite a rather last minute, panic shuffleing a couple of schools around due to... underwriters/builders/inefficiencies/who knows but, my problems are small compared with what the school has to deal with! It all seems rather avoidable, like so many things...
Uni student club is off to a wonderful start! Returners from placement, post grads, freshers all looking strong! This year will be something. (Despite more bureaucratic issues...)
Tuesday's adult session is jogging along, nothing spectacular but progress. Numbers are slowly increasing.
That's about it for now, more as it comes in - London Open next month for the uni, that will be interesting! Looking forward to it. Bye for now!

10.5.26. IAPS (Independant Prep School sports) judo champs. We were lucky enough to get two schools into these championships; Hazlegrove and QEH, Bristol. Hazlegrove managed a squad of seven, all of whom came back with a medal, 2 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze, QEH fielded three, 2 silver and one bronze. A great effort by the boys and staff of the schools! Some of the boys, it was their first judo competition, not having done the sport for very long at all. Onwards and upwards, let's hope.
Thanks also to the organisers - a great job there too!!

17.3.26. News up-date, the University of Bath attended BUCS with a squad of just short of forty. Covering novice, intermediate, advanced chatagories plus of course three teams for the teams event. The medal haul was: 12 Gold, 4 Silver, 2 Bronze, 3 fifth place & 4 seventh place. The Teams, Men's first team = Gold. Bath overall champions for the third year on the trot!

AS THINGS "FALL" OFF THE BACK HERE, I'll repost important things on the THOUGHTS IDEAS REPORT page25.3.25

UP COMING EVENTS

I'm working on organising the next Special for our school athletes. Haven't got very far as yet. More soon.

Extra stuff, to save searching...

Tying belts,
> Here's a link to a video I made.
(Tell me what you think of the sound track )
> Please water kids before sessions!
> No school trousers under judo ones! Too hot!!
> Don't tumble dry kit - cool wash please!

Year 6 students or students changing to a school we don't do, I strongly suggest & recommend going to the Uni Community club. Their sessions are on Monday (6.45-8) & Thursday (6.30-7.45). If you'd like me to be there, no problem just let me know - all part of the service!

TEAM BATH JUDO.

Again a note for the future, for those really enthusiastic about chasing a judo dream, this is the link to  Team Bath Judo - which you could start looking at joining once you get into your late teens! Keep training though! It'll get hard -
